There are thousands of Christians in the Downtown Tampa area - in banks, law firms and medical offices, in marketing and communications firms, in realty and travel agencies, in restaurants and the hotel and tourist industry.  These businesses are all major players in the downtown Tampa market.

But the latest controversy, whereby God and prayer are being attacked and publicized as "politically incorrect," has resulted in an atmosphere that is causing too many people to plan and chart their performance in the workplace by imitating whatever and whoever is considered by the media to be "politically correct".  This has caused a silencing of a people who are not only supposed to spread the gospel but to demonstrate the gospel through our  behavior and attitudes in everything we do.

Christians are multi-tasking at work everyday but we can't seem to fit prayer in our lives until Sunday service or Wednesday bible study or perhaps before we go to bed at night.

Most of us spend more time at work than anyplace else.  However, it is increasingly difficult to see a difference between the believer and the non-believer in the work place.  We are not to be ashamed to acknowledge the Lord in anything.

TRUST IN THE LORD

WITH ALL THINE HEART;

AND LEAN NOT

 UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING.

IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM,

AND HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS.

 - PROVERBS 3:5-6

Can anyone tell by observing your behavior and your business methods and decisions that you are made in God's image?  Does it show in the way you talk, in the way you dress?  Does it show in the decisions you make at work or the way you treat your fellow man?  Does it show even in the way you treat those who persecute you?

Where are all of God's children who work in these office buildings that make up the Downtown Tampa skyline?  Are you there?  Are you living and working as a true follower of Jesus Christ?  Or are you just going through the motions of going to church on Sunday and bible study on Wednesday?

Why not start living and working for Christ, our Lord and Savior TODAY?  And in so doing, give God our Father all the honor and glory.
