How to Be a Workplace Prayer Warrior

We are all at different levels in our walk with the Lord.  No one is perfect in this walk.  The important thing is to begin.  First, we must realize the awesome privilege of prayer.

So come as you are and ask God everyday for a desire to pray and to hunger and thirst for Him and His Word. Not just when you are in trouble or don't know where else to turn?  But before you get into trouble.  Before there is a crisis.

Let God be the first place you turn - not the last.  The result will always be better than you or I could have done with our preconceived notions of how things should or should not turn out.

When we wait until the last minute to pray, it is usually to ask God to give us things the way WE think they should be and not according to HIS will.

To begin a prayer life, you must simply start to communicate with God on a real-time basis.  Then expand your prayers to include praying for others (intercessory prayer) for which you will be blessed.  You must also strive to display the qualities Jesus epitomized in his walk on this Earth.

As you pray, begin to examine your daily commitment to God in your workplace.

Do you begin your workday praying for the end of the workday to hurry up?  Why not try praying for strength to face and guidance to deal with whatever might come your way during your workday?  Learn to ask for the Lord's favor.  And don't ever be afraid to ask Him to make the impossible possible.  HE CAN! OH YES! HE CAN!

We must all learn to keep the prayer line to God open, we should keep Him on our spiritual "speaker phone" and keep Him on the line all day.  We must not put Him on hold while we are at work when that is generally the place and time we need Him the most.

Call upon His holy name and thank Him for being there - tell Him you love Him, ask Him to hold your hand through whatever you are going through or are about to face.  He is right there for you.  And don't forget to "Be still" for a few moments and listen and KNOW that He is God.

One of the easiest times to begin reviving your prayer life is when you open your eyes in the morning - before you get out of bed.  Before you go to brush your teeth, or prepare breakfast or get the kids ready.  Begin with that quiet moment when you are first aware that God has allowed you to see another day and to take another breath.  Focus that first minute of your day on God.  Say his name.  Say:  "Good Morning Father God, I love you!"

It can be just that simple to start your day with prayer!  And it is just that simple to pray anytime, anywhere.  In fact, why not try it right now!

"Father God, I love you and thank you for loving me! "

That wasn't so hard, was it?

SO

"... take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." - (Ephesians 6:13)

FOR

"No weapon formed against thee shall prosper.." - (Isaiah 54:17)

AND

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. " -  (Ephesians 6:10)

REMEMBER

"...GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD." - (1 John 4:4)

AMEN? AMEN!
